The AMD A4-6300 is a desktop processor with 2 cores, launched in June 2013. It is part of the A4 lineup, using the Richland architecture with Socket FM2. A4-6300 has 1MB of L2 cache and operates at 3.7 GHz by default, but can boost up to 3.9 GHz, depending on the workload. AMD is building the A4-6300 on a 32 nm production process using 1,178 million transistors. The multiplier is locked on A4-6300, which limits its overclocking capabilities.
With a TDP of 65 W, the A4-6300 consumes typical power levels for a modern PC. AMD’s processor supports DDR3 memory with adual-channel interface. This processor features the Radeon HD 8370D integrated graphics solution.
Hardware virtualization is available on the A4-6300, which greatly improves virtual machine performance.
